DOA Policy
At Eastern Shore Corals, we take great care in packaging and shipping to ensure your coral arrives healthy and ready for your reef.
We proudly offer a Live Arrival Guarantee under the following conditions:
✅ Live Arrival Guarantee
We guarantee that all coral will arrive alive.
If your coral arrives Dead on Arrival (DOA), you must contact us within 2 hours of the recorded delivery time with the required documentation listed below.
📸 Required for DOA Claims
To qualify for a DOA claim, please provide:
1. Clear photos of the coral inside the original, unopened bag
2. Photos of the coral inside the shipping box
3. Your order number and tracking number
Photos must be emailed to: easternshorecoral@gmail.com
⚠️ Do not discard the coral or remove it from the bag until photos are taken.
💳 Resolution
Once a valid DOA claim is verified, you will be offered one of the following:
- Store credit for the value of the coral
- Replacement coral, if available
Shipping charges are not refundable and are not included in store credit or replacement value.
🚚 Shipping & Delivery Conditions
- We are not responsible for carrier delays or missed delivery attempts.
- However, if your package arrives late and the coral is DOA, we will still honor valid DOA claims that meet all documentation requirements.

Customers are responsible for ensuring someone is available to receive the package on the delivery day.
❌ What Is Not Covered
The Live Arrival Guarantee does not cover:
- Coral that dies after being placed into your aquarium
- Losses due to improper acclimation or tank conditions
- Claims made after the 2-hour reporting window
- Damage caused by refusal, rerouting, or incorrect shipping address
